Five on Friday 10/4

It's Friday again - yay!

1.  Homemade Spiced Cider- fall in a glass.  Some of my friends and I got together last weekend and I made this amazing drink!  Apple juice, prosecco, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a hint of lemon -Recipe here.

2.  Kate Somerville RetAsphere 2-in-1 Retinol Night Cream-  I received a sample of the Kate Somerville cream with my Sephora points earlier in the year and fell in love.  It is expensive but the full size will last me probably 8 months (or more) and I think it's worth every penny!  It makes the biggest difference in my skin.

3.  University of Michigan football- My family bought tickets this week for the October 19th game vs. Indiana.  We will be heading to Ann Arbor in our RV and tailgating before the game!

4.  Chalkboard fun- We have a chalkboard hanging in our house that is adorable but never gets used.  The only time we used it was this past summer for a wedding countdown!  Ever since then, it has been pathetically blank.  I am no artist, I wouldn't even consider myself to have a creative gene at all... but I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out.

5.  Home office organization- I finally have gotten our home office (mostly) reorganized and cleaned up after the mess that was wedding planning this summer.  There is still quite a bit to do... all of the stuff under the desk needs a new home, that chair needs to be re-covered... but it feels good to get my desk clear and have space to work in the room again!

Have a great weekend!

  2. Okay so I totally LOLed when I arrived at your site and read the words "I haven't been this excited about Friday since last Friday." Maybe it's the coffee. Who knows? But HA! And I realize that I probably should have read these words somewhere, sometime before now...and maybe I have. Yet, today, they struck me as hilarious. So thanks for that. And PS - Your cider looks delicious.

  5. I love spiced cider and just picked some up from Trader Joe's today! Really good if you add bourbon or whiskey to it! ;) Retinols are great but they made my face too sensitive to the sun! I use Alpha Hydroxy Acid now and it's a great anti-wrinkle / anti-acne cream. I love chalkboards! I used some at my wedding! Have a great weekend!
