Spiked Apple Cider

Last Friday, I shared a picture of my homemade spiked apple cider.. fall in a glass.  Since the temperatures are finally dropping around here and it's actually starting to feel like fall, I thought it was the perfect time to share this recipe with you!  It is super easy but be prepared for this drink to go fast.. it's that delicious.

Shopping List
40 oz of Apple juice
1 bottle of Prosecco
1 tbs brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs HOT water
1 apple
1/2 lemon

Directions
1) In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and hot water until the sugar is melted.

2) Pour the sugar mixture into your pitcher.

3) Squeeze 1/2 of a lemon into the pitcher.

4) Pour the apple juice into the pitcher and stir well to blend all ingredients.

5) Pour the cider mixture into individual glasses and add the prosecco slowly.

6) Garnish (or just toss them in like I did!) with apple slices.

Enjoy!

**This drink is best served immediately after mixing.  We waited in between drinks and the sugar/cinnamon mixture began to clump in the bottom of the glass.  It still tasted fine, just looked a little funny!
