Five on Friday 12/13

Happy Friday the 13th!  I'm not a very superstitious person so this day doesn't bother me too much.  Although I do remember when I was younger, flying to Florida on Friday the 13th and our plane had a mechanical issue so we sat on the runway for 2 hours before we took off... I was freaking out.  We made it there safely after about 2 hours of sheer terror that we were going to crash at any minute!  Luckily, this Friday the 13th involves no planes (or maybe that's unlucky because I could really use a vacation...) and instead is thankfully the end of a long week!

1)  This is your LAST chance to enter my Christmas giveaway!  I will be announcing the lucky winner of my favorite lip gloss, lotion, nail polish, hair product and candle on Monday so make sure you stop back to see if it was you!  It's super easy to enter - just leave a blog comment or follow me on GFC, Bloglovin, Instagram, Pinterest or Twitter!  And don't forget to visit Mia and Kristal and enter their giveaways as well!
Click HERE to go enter now!

2)  Since I've already recapped our Hawaiian Honeymoon, I thought it was beyond time that I recap the day that started it all. I started my Wedding Recap posts on Wednesday and it has been so much fun!  Check out our rehearsal dinner and a tribute to a special friend here!

3)  I'm slightly obsessed with this necklace.  It's pretty outside the box for me as I'm a total neutral person.  I picked it up at Francesca's last week when all jewelry was Buy One, Get One for $5 - which is still going on!!  I'm loving the pop of color.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere on their website.

4)  Melissa over at Simply Sweet Melissa wrote a great post this week on No Reply Bloggers!  I was a NRB at first until someone helped me out - so if you think you might be, check out her website for quick and easy steps to change this!

5)  Nick and I got our Christmas cookie baking on this Monday night.  We made his Grandma's Classic Peanut Butter cookies and they turned out great!  We cut the recipe in half because the last thing I needed was 6 dozen cookies in my house.  I sent some to work with him just so we wouldn't eat them all!

I'm so looking forward to the weekend.  This week has just dragged on and it has been SO cold here in Chicago that the last thing we want to do is leave the house.  However, there are only 12 days until Christmas and we have barely done any shopping so we have a busy, busy weekend ahead of us!  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

  14. That necklace is so cute! I love that shade of pink.

Peanut butter cookies with chocolate kisses are one of my favorite treats. We called them peanut butter blossoms at my house growing up.

I am a no-reply blogger... For shame! Blogger and Google+ used to work so well together, but earlier this year, anyone who synced their accounts defaulted to being no-reply. It's frustrating, but I like being synced with Google+.
