Thankful Thursday Link Up 1/9

Happy Thursday!

My 3 co-hosts, Mia at Make Me Up Mia, Kristal at The Strong Family and Carly at Carly Blogs Here, and I are back for our second link up edition of Thankful Thursday.  All you need to know about this link up is that it's open to everyone and there are no rules but to join below!

Thursday, January 2

It may seem ridiculous to be thankful for this snowman that I found in our back alley but after a long day of work that began with my car getting stuck in the snow twice, I was happy to find something to lighten up the day!

Friday, January 3

Winter has some of the most beautiful sunsets but we never get to enjoy them because we are tucked away inside!  And still at work since the sun sets at 4:30 in the winter... hence the window picture.

Saturday, January 4

Thankful that being with these girls means having fun no matter what we are doing!  Even when the boys want to go to a pool hall in the middle of a blizzard.

Sunday, January 5

Quiet moments in the snow are the prettiest.  I would love winter if it weren't so dang cold!

Monday, January 6

The polar vortex rolled into Chicago Monday morning and we were freezing to say the least.  I was so thankful I didn't have to leave my apartment all day - and for having heat!

Tuesday, January 7

Thankful for my husband who handles all things car related :)

Wednesday, January 8

Our beautiful Shutterfly calendar arrived today!  I am an organization freak - Nick, not so much.  I'm going to hang this in our kitchen.  This is our first year having an actual calendar (I always use a planner, too) and I think it will help him us so much!

I hope you will all join this link up with myself and co-hosts!  We can't wait to join on this adventure with all of you!  Cheers to being thankful in 2014!

  1. Loved your week! The snow really is so beautiful and peaceful...if you can get past the shivering. :) We make photo calendars for us and the family each Christmas and I love it! I'm not a scrap-booker, so the photo calendars serve as that and we all love them. Hope it warms up for you! Happy Thursday!

  5. Cute calendar! I usually keep the planner and just tell Keith, I've tried keeping a google calendar with him but only 1/2 of us use it so really not worth it.

  9. That snowman is adorable/hilarious! I almost added the car thing to mine today! My husband had to go fill up my tires because I have no idea how to do that! I love the calendar! I always try and find a travel themed one for our kitchen but I didn't even think to do a photograph one :)

  17. Love the picture of the snow covered streets on the 5th. Don't love the picture after it. Ha..isn't there a way it could be 50 and snow?!

  18. Hilarious. I love the calendar idea. My guy is so awful at dates, remembering outings, etc.
Luckily he was home today, and I got to task, er...ask him nicely to do wedding stuff while I was at work. This long distance wedding planning is tough, but worth every minute!!!

    1. Ugh, long distance wedding planning would be hard! Not that Nick did much but it was nice to have him to at least come with me to stuff. When are you getting married?

  19. I want a calendar like that! I love it!! Sooooo CUTE!!! Your snowman made me laugh out loud! That would have made my day also.
Let me tell you-I'm not a fan of snow, but that picture of the snow is so nice. There's a serene sense of peace that comes with the snow when the lights are on and the snow is falling ever so gently. Oh...I guess I like snow after all! ;) Haha
