Thankful Thursday: Week 10

It's that time of the week again!  Thankful Thursday :)

Ps. I'm also guest posting today - sharing my 5 minute face - over at Kids and Cabernet so make sure to stop by and check it out!

Thursday, February 27

You guys, I'm addicted to these things.  It's embarrassing how many of these little eggs I've already consumed this year!  The creme Cadbury eggs are good too but these are my absolute favorite.  I love Easter candy!

Friday, February 28

Friday night was date night and we finally got around to checking something off of my December bucket list (ha!) - ice skating at Millennium Park!  We had so much fun!  This was my first time really ice skating but Nick is a pro since he's been playing hockey since he was 3.  Afterwards, we got take out from one of our favorite restaurants, Big Bowl, and headed home to enjoy dinner on our couch!

Saturday, March 1

Saturday brought a snowstorm (yep, another one) and I actually didn't mind being stuck at work.  Until it was time to leave and I realized I was going to have to scrape all this snow off my car.  Never.ending.winter.

Sunday, March 2

After an 11 hour work day - on a Sunday, boo - there was nothing better than coming home and snuggling on the couch watching the Oscars!

Monday, March 3

Being tourists and taking pictures at the Bean on a zero degree night!

Tuesday, March 4

I love cheese.  And that being said, I decided to give cheese up for Lent.  It's going to be a long 40 days!

Wednesday, March 5

Even though they are fake, something about white flowers on my desk at work just makes me happy!

  3. Very happy that everything is great with your health- in reality if you're not healthy then nothing else matters!! I'm not sure if I could ever give up cheese- I bet you'll see some other positives from giving it up for lent as well!!

  4. Whether fake or real, flowers just make everything more upbeat! How cute is that picture of y'all ice skating!

And so so glad everything is okay!

  5. Glad everything turned out ok with your test results. I hate times like that. I also think I'm the oddball because I cannot stand those cadbury egg things. Ick!

  8. So happy to hear everything turned out ok! I know the feeling of being scared to hear back from the Dr. and it isn't fun at all. I try to not eat cheese, mainly bc it makes me break out bad, but I just can't! I'd rather having a pimple on my face than not eat cheese. It's pathetic! Good luck with Lent!

  9. So glad to hear all is ok! I am already trying to figure out when I can run and grab some of that candy, it's my fave too. And nothing better than Sunday snuggles :)

  10. Ahh cheese is such a good thing to give up! And good I mean hard :) Yay for making it ice skating! I think we have one week left to go before the rinks change back to fountains here, and I don't think we'll make it which is a bit sad because we've gone every year! I blame the frigid winter! So glad to hear everything came back alright with the doctors! It really is the hardest thing having to wait around for some kind of results-- and even though all you can do is put your trust in God, sometimes it's so hard to just let go of your fear & anxiety!

  11. I'm so glad to hear everything checked out OK at the doctor! I can definitely relate, and I know it can be stressful waiting for that phone call. I am so jealous that you got to skate at Millennium Park - I grew up in Chicago, and my husband also has played hockey his whole life, but we've never gotten the chance to head to downtown Chicago yet for that experience. Maybe next year!

    Thanks for co-hosting the linkup!

  13. YAY for you having the chance to go ice skating!! And for the results on all your tests coming back okay - how scary! But seriously, let's talk about how you're giving up cheese for Lent... that is going to be HARD! And I will be cheering you on from over here, while I'm just putting cheese on pretty much everything edible... (not trying to rub it in, just stating the facts!)

  14. Girl you gave up cheese??? Praying for you already ;) So glad everything checked out well!

  19. Glad your health scare was really just a scare (if I read that right). I smiled when I saw your ice skating instagram pic because I knew you had that on your bucket list. Frowned when I saw your car, though. I just could not live with that kind of snow! But you prob couldn't live in AL with our kind of rednecks either :)

  22. Glad you got a good report from your doctors!! Nothing like being anxious waiting for results to come. I LOVE those mini cadbury eggs and I'm also a huge jelly bean fan :) You'll have to pick up some new Easter candy to balance out your lack of cheese in your diet.

  23. Good news is great! Especially from a doctor.

I'm counting the days until Lent is over-those Cadbury eggs are calling. And since I don't want to miss out on them selling out, I've been buying them and hiding them in my closet. Let's hope Andrew doesn't find them first!

  24. Oh Thank God, it was just a scare and you are doing well!! :)
I have never tried Cadbury Eggs. From what I hear, I am sinning by not eating them. Will have to try for sure. Tourist pictures at the bean? A place called The Bean in Chicago or The Bean, like Boston? :)

  25. VERY happy your results came back ok!! My last yearly revealed concern that required further testing & that is SO scary!!
