Happy Monday!

I hesitated to even write this post because nothing blog worthy happened over the weekend.  I turned to my iPhone camera album for some inspiration of what we did the last few days... and there was a whooping three pictures.  And one was of a Costco hotdog.  So, here was our weekend -- enjoy!  ;)

Friday night, Nick was out of town and I had to work early the next morning so I stayed in and got caught up on Pretty Little Liars -- don't judge, also was that 100th episode crazy or what?

Saturday brought 12 long hours of work.  It was a rainy, gloomy, humid day so at least I wasn't missing out on anything fun.  The highlight of my day was spending my hour break shopping at Ulta.  Makeup > lunch -- priorities, people.  Nick got home Saturday night from a day spent at his friends cottage and we crashed pretty early.  Now that we don't have a show we're binge watching, we seem to go to bed a lot earlier!

After sleeping in on Sunday morning, we headed out to church because we've been terrible about doing that over the last couple of months.  I really like our church here and it will be something I miss about Chicago for sure.  We had a seriously hilarious guest speaker from a church in downtown Detroit that had us laughing the entire hour while also delivering a strong message.  Don't you love leaving church feeling like a new person?  It always helps me start the week off on the right foot.

The rest of the day was devoted to adult things.  Ie. the grocery store and Costco (which has the best hot dogs, by the way), dishes, cleaning the apartment, making dinner, and watching soccer.  I was bummed we didn't make it out to the Taste of Chicago this year but you win some, you lose some.  We ended the weekend with a delicious dinner that included bombpops -- and a camera that wouldn't focus.

And that's that folks -- hope your weekend was slightly more interesting than ours!

  19. Even when we're tired or lazy, we force ourselves to go to church every week because you're so right - we end up feeling like a new person! We always take so much out of it, and then we're so grateful that we went!!! Good for y'all :)
