5 Ways To Get Organized in 2015

Happy Monday!  The first weekend of 2015 is in the books.  It wasn't an eventful one over here so I'll spare you the details on how we tried out 20 different gray paints or went grocery shopping - you're welcome :)

Instead, today I'm focusing on getting organized.  Nick has been off since December 23rd so it was two glorious weeks of relaxing, eating, TV watching, eating, puppy playing and oh, more eating.  We had the best time and really made the most of it but I'm also kind of happy to be getting back into our normal routine.  The fresh start of a new year has me wanting to clean/organize/de-clutter my entire life so off to Pinterest I went for inspiration and of course, I had to share my findings.  All sources are listed under the picture.  Here's to starting the year off on the right foot!

ONE | YOUR HOUSE

TWO | YOUR CLOSET

THREE | YOUR SAVINGS ACCOUNT

FOUR | YOUR BLOG

FIVE | MEAL TIMES

PS: who else is excited for The Bachelor tonight?!

  1. Yes! I totally agree with these tips and implement many of them in my daily life! Although..any house where we only have to do laundry one day a week is a house I want to live in! haha! It's just the hub and me here and I swear I have to do laundry ever 2-3 days! As for meal planning--while I like to keep things 'mixed up' as best I can--having set meals for at LEAST Monday & Friday helps tremendously with the planning process making the whole "meal planning thing" less daunting. We always do Tacos on Mondays and Naan Pizza (or really, any kind of pizza, it's just usually Naan Pizza) on Fridays!

  2. Love this! I definitely need to incorporate some of these into my life! I definitely love the cleaning schedule. I already do Sat as my free day and Sunday as my laundry day so now I just need to do the rest! :)

  6. Ah if only I could get myself to do some of this! The Cleaning schedule has to be the hardest but once you make a routine of it, I'm sure its no big deal!

  7. Love this! I'm all about decluttering everything before baby gets here. Although the cleaning schedule is the hardest for me. I've started keeping a list of my favorite recipes in my planner and it has helped so much! Yay for a fresh start!

  8. What a fantastic post! One of my goals definitely is to follow that cleaning calendar ... it's not like living in an apartment anymore where I could clean everything in a day! Um, I'm so excited for the Bachelor - they shot a lot of the show in Des Moines, Iowa, this go around, which is where I went to school and lived for six years! It's going to be entertaining how they portray it!

  17. Great tips!! I have done my best to stay organized, but my lovely husband messes up the system lol. Just kidding. But not really... I definitely have some things that need to be organized like my jewelry and my closet. I haven't watched the Bachelor since Trista and Ryan, but the new guy was on Live w/Kelly & Michael this morning. Seems like a nice guy. Hope that you are having a good day and that you're staying warm!

I have started a thing where I save all $5 bills... I just started & already have over $200 saved up!!! I get both excited & bummed when I give a $20 & instead of a $10 back, they give me 2 $5 - I love that it means I get to save.. but then I have no money because I refuse to spend my $5's :) haha
