All Hail The Crockpot

One of the only things I enjoy about winter is my crockpot.  I heart the crockpot.  I know it's usable all year-round but I tend to put mine to work most during these cold months.  The frigid temps call for warm, hearty meals and there are few things better than coming home to a delicious smelling house, knowing dinner is already prepared for you!  Here are three of my favorite, go-to, never fail crockpot recipes.

White Chicken Chili from Gimme Some Oven
Only 5 ingredients!  I top mine with avocado, sour cream and pepperjack cheese to take things up a notch.

Creamy Tortellini Sausage Soup from Queen Bee Coupons
With sausage and mushrooms, this is a man approved dinner.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches from Wanna Bite
I add in a hefty squirt of BBQ sauce to the crockpot before cooking to even out the spicy hot sauce.  Top with blue cheese crumbles or ranch dressing and pickles, yum!

Loaded Potato Soup from Mom Spark
Not even close to a healthy meal but oh so good.  Don't forget the bacon on top!

And now I'm drooling.  I'm always looking for new crockpot recipes to mix things up so be sure to share yours below!  We're trying this butternut squash soup recipe for the first time tomorrow night and I'll be sure to report back.  Enjoy!

  2. I'm all about soups and chili this time of year. It warms me up just thinking about it. And yes, the smell!! These recipes look delicious. I'm vegetarian, but my boyfriend would love that buffalo chicken sandwich and I could easily just leave out the meat in the other dishes. I shouldn't be having cravings this early in the day!

  13. I was just thinking last night how I would like to make butternut squash soup. I also probably should have read this after I came home from the gym, not before haha. I have a white chicken chili recipe that Brittany shared a while ago that's awesome. That one in your picture looks delicious though, and I like your choice of toppings! :-) I hope that you're having a good day so far!

  26. Mmmmm, these recipes sound delish! I always add cauliflower (steamed then blended in my Ninja before dumping into the soup) to justify my love for potato soup! It's a little more work than just dumping it all in a crock pot, but at least it makes it a little healthier, ha ha!

  27. I really need to get my crockpot out and start using it more! All of these recipes sound delicious

  28. There is white chicken chili bubbling away in my crockpot as we speak. And I am absolutely thrilled to not have to "make" dinner tonight since it's already ready to go! Yay! That tortellini soup looks amazing. Definitely bookmarking that recipe for sure!
