Friday's Five 1/23

The biggest success of the week?  I AVOIDED THE FLU!  I was so sure I was going to get it - I even scheduled my posts out ahead of time (which, side note, is really nice and I should do that more often) but thankfully I'm still healthy and think I may be out of the woods.  Cue the Taylor Swift song.  Cheers to Friday and a much better weekend than the last!

ONE | Volleyball
The church we've been going to has open volleyball in the gym every Thursday and last night was our first time attending.  It was a lot of fun - everyone was really nice and it just felt good to get out there and play again!

TWO | Dalmatian Print
Literally obsessed with this bathroom.  And dalmatian print in general.  Wallpaper in our half bath is going to be a must!

THREE | Figode Ankle Boots
After seeing these ankle boots on both Zelle and Pamela's blog, I wanted them for myself.  And after seeing that they were on major sale, I NEEDED them!  They're both cute and comfy - now if only the snow would melt so I can finally wear them outside of my house.

FOUR | Zoodles
I jumped on the zoodle bandwagon (using this baby) and haven't looked back!  We made chicken teriyaki and it was amazing - didn't even miss the rice.  What are your favorite zoodle recipes?  I want to try them all!

FIVE | Blog Problem
I have no idea why but for the last couple of weeks, my paragraph breaks have been disappearing from my blog posts.  I can type up the post and everything looks good but if I need to re-open the post to edit something, all of my paragraph breaks disappear.  I then have to manually re-enter them which is a big pain in the you know what.  Has anyone had this problem before?  I can't find any solutions online for how to resolve this in Blogger. Help?!

We're off to see Foxcatcher with some friends tonight - hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead!

  1. I have been loving the look of wallpaper lately too! We are considering adding a powder room to our house and I may just need wallpaper in their. Also, I have the same issue with formatting when I go back & edit posts. It's so frustrating! Let me know if you find a fix for it!

  5. Yay for not getting sick! It's the worst when your husband has it and you end up passing it back and forth! I love those booties. So cute and I still need to try some zoodles! Hope you have a great weekend!!

  6. I am so all about dalmatian print right now! I just ordered two pillows of the print for the living room and I am sooo excited for them to get here. I was back and forth on those booties, should I just get them? I'm so happy you didn't get sick!! The flu = the worst! Check out Inspiralized - I get a lot of my recipes/ideas from her blog/insta!!

  8. Uh yeah, blogger is just an asshat that way sometimes. I honestly don't know the reasoning or cause for it--but that happened to me for nearly a year and then it just....stopped. I'm probably an idiot for not researching it further to fix the problem but it was so frustrating!

  9. Every. Single. Time. I thought is was just my blogger portal. When I edit anything and repost, everything clumps together into one big paragraph.

I'm loving the gold fixtures with the dalmatian print!

  10. I just saw that wallpaper print on a rerun of Property Brothers, and I'm kind of obsessed with it now, too. It's neutral, but girly and chic at it's finest. Love! A spiralizer is on my birthday list, so hopefully I can jump on the zoodles bandwagon soon, too. Glad you didn't get the flu - enjoy your weekend!

  11. Glad you avoided the flu. I LOVE that dalmatian print, too! I saw a fun stencil that I was thinking of try on our half bath. Those little bathrooms seem to just scream for something a little wild :) Also, I've noticed that I've had to go back and add paragraph breaks to my posts when I know I originally put them in. Blogger is weird & I'm hoping the problem corrects itself.

  13. I think I have the same bathroom picture pinned - I love it. Maybe someday I'll get that fancy.

I made a zucchini spaghetti recipe last night. Same as normal spaghetti, just sub in the zucchini noodles instead of pasta. It was great and only took 15 minutes.

  14. oh my gosh i have a similar problem with my paragraphs but it's normally near the pictures - it adds a break and i have to manually fix every damn picture and it gets so annoying every damn time i edit. but i havent had that specific issue, maybe someone else has!
i got a vegitti thingy but havent tried the zoodles yet - i need to get some recipes!
those boots are soooo gorgeous. need.
i am not a fan of animal print or wallpaper like that normally but that bathroom is gorgeous and now I want all the dalmatian print.

  15. Seriously, I need a spiralizer. We make so much Asian food and rice - I need to cut back and I know zoodles would be perfect. Also, that dalmation with the gold is AMAZING!!! Unfortunately, we had the ugliest wallpaper on our house from the 70s when we moved in, so there is NO WAY after taking all of it off, my husband would ever do wallpaper ever again (and I can't say I disagree haha). Happy Weekend!

  17. I was having a problem that my posts typed on my old laptop, gives TOO many paragraph breaks .... WHY?!?!?! So confusing.

High fiving you for avoiding the flu! That gives me hope that not everyone will come down with it if you're near it :)

  18. That dalmation paper?! YES, please! And yay for the booties -- can't wait for you to wear them! P.S. shooting you an email about the blog paragraph breaks!

  20. I am so glad you didn't get sick! Woo! I love Dalmatian print, too! It looks so chic and classy. It is not a print that comes first to mind though, but every time I see it I like it. Those ankle boots are perfection!! So cute! I hope you get to wear them soon. I hope you have a great weekend!

  21. Have you done any other veggies in the sprializer? I'm on the line of getting one but just wasn't sure how versatile it is....

  25. Such cute booties! I added a few coats of suede protectant to mine and you can literally drop water on them and it just rolls off. That dalmatian print is amazing - you need! I've had major issues with paragraphs disappearing, usually between text and an image. I tried "shift + enter" next to the picture (like on the same line) today and it added a space above which I couldn't get to happen in HTML. So maybe try that? Hope y'all have a great weekend!

  26. Oh my gosh, I have been thinking about getting that zoodle gadget... and now I think you have me sold! Are they easy to make? It just seems like such a great alternative to pasta.

    xo Always, Abby

  27. Love the booties! I'm not sure what it is with Blogger but when I switched to Wordpress and had to go back and edit any of my old post, it always does this. I have to go to the text view and edit it and if I edit anything in the HTML view, I have to start over. If you find the solution, let me know! Happy weekend :)

  29. Yeah!!!!!!! Isn't that veggie spiralizer the best???? I actually got Mark to eat something that I made yesterday begrudgingly but baby steps! I love throwing them in stirfry recipes instead of rice so good!!!

  30. Oh gosh. I have been saying I need to get on the veggie noodle bandwagon. I've only heard good things.

  31. I'm super ticked off with Blogger right now. I schedule my posts to show up at 7 am every morning, and lately, they've just been showing up willy-nilly, sometimes not until after 12 pm. SO annoying. Needless to say, I don't have any advice on how to fix the break problems you are having...Sorry!:( Hopefully it will right itself soon (or someone else will have better advice!) Loving the booties you picked up. I'm tempted to grab some myself, but actually have a pair so similar from Sole Society, that it would be a waste of money to get another. Sigh. Have a great weekend, sweet girl!

  32. I've been on the fence about getting a spiralizer-- so many good recipes but I'm afraid I wouldn't really use it. That one looks nice because it has the little lever which I imagine makes it somewhat easy to use. And now I really want those booties too! They look like such a good height & wedges are always so comfortable. I hope you guys have a good weekend!

I've also been having that blogger problem every now and then- it's SO annoying! If you find a solution, let me know! Have a great weekend :)

  41. That dalmatian print wallpaper is adorable! I'm surprised that no one had thought of that before -- it is way more neutral than leopard print, and would look awesome with a pop of color.

Stopping by from 5 on Friday!

    xx
