January Favorites

Every month I say I'm going to join Kelli and Mia for their monthly favorites link up and it never fails that I forget to write it down and then ultimately just forget altogether.  BUT, not this month!

I've starting using a monthly editorial calendar and it has made the biggest difference in my blogging productivity.  I still tend to write my posts the day before but I actually have a post idea for every day of the month of February and that feels good.  It also helps me plan ahead so I can join fun linkups like this one.

But enough of that nonsense, here are a few of my favorite things as of late...

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

I'm starting look for healthier alternatives when it comes to beauty products and after seeing a few scary articles possibly linking chemicals in our deodorants to breast cancer, I figured that was the best place to start.  I turned to LaVanila Healthy Deodorant and I won't ever go back.  It actually works, smells fresh and is "100% natural, safe and effective".  It's frequently sold out online so you know it's good :)

We're well into 2015 now but just in case anyone is still looking for a planner, I love my Sugar Paper for Target planner!  The price is ridic at $7.99, it's cute and it's the perfect size that I can just throw in my bag and bring everywhere.

Kristin from Bliss @ Home is my newest blog crush.  She has the most gorgeous house and her particular design style is so fun.  Her site is more than just pretty pictures, though - she's quirky and it comes through in her writing!

Jean shopping is the worst, right behind swim suit shopping.  When I find a pair of jeans that I love, I buy them in every color and that's what I'm doing with these Gap Legging jeans.  They fit me perfectly and this gorgeous black pair is on sale right now so yes, they're going to be mine!

This NARS lipgloss in Orgasm has been on repeat all day, every day.  Love it.

Thanks to a couple of Nordstrom notes, I finally pulled the trigger on a Diptyque candle!  I got the Baies scent and so far, I think it does live up to the hype.  I have mine in the entryway and the whole room smells delicious, even without the candle actually lit.

What have you been loving lately?!  Happy Wednesday!

  5. I've always heard scary things about our deodorants, but never took it seriously. Now I'm wishing I had, and am totally on the hunt for your pick. Thank you so much for the inspiration!

And YES to the Sugar Paper at Target planners, I could not love mine more. They are so pretty, and super affordable. I will never drop an obscene amount of $$ on a planner again :-D

  6. Gap legging jeans are my jam! I think I have three pairs! They're so great, especially when you can get them on one of their awesome sales! Orgasm lipgloss is the best! SO much better than the blush! I need to take your lead and do an editorial calendar!

  7. I've heard the same thing about deodorants and about five years ago searched alternatives, but they were all so freaking expensive and sold out. I'll have to check out the one you suggested!

I actually have a loving lately post in my drafts for tomorrow, heehee!

  9. Loving all your picks! I've heard great things about that deoderant, so I may have to see if I can find it at Sephora when I head to my parent's for my birthday at the end of the month. I wonder if the Gap jeans are similar to Old Navy's Rockstar skinny jeans (my FAVORITES jeans ever) - if so, I may have to pick up a pair of those, too. :)

  11. Wow that is scary about the deodorant! Makes me want to stop using my Dove. Anyways... I have used that NARS lipgloss for years. That is their best color. I've heard so much about those candles that I really want to check them out. Glad that you found the right jeans too, that is a huge thing that we focus on at work. :-) That planner is so cute too, and that price is fab! Thanks for sharing your faves for this month!! :-)

  12. You may have finally convinced me to try that deodorant! I've thought of trying a DIY option for something more natural but it always seems like too much of a hassle. I can only imagine how amazing that candle smells! I have the monthly Sugar & Co. planner from Target and I'm with you, it's amazing- especially for the price!

  23. I almost bought some of those Gap Jeans, but then I found that American Eagle Jeggings come in tall sizes and they are SO comfortable and inexpensive! I've been thinking about picking up one of those deodorants for days I know I won't be doing a ton of activity - I've heard nothing but great things about the brand!

  31. I've been wanting to try a natural deodorant, but was too scared it wouldn't work or would smell weird. I'll definitely check that kind out! That planner is super cute and jean shopping...yuck. Even maternity jeans are hard to find. You'd think with an elastic waistband it wouldn't be so difficult! Love Gap brand though!

  32. I do remember learning about the anti-perspirant being linked to cancer so that's why I just get the regular deodorants. And I've never smelled one of those Diptyque candles.. may have to check them out! xoxo

  36. I'm the same way with a good pair of jeans/pants. It's so hard to find the perfect fit and when I do, they get discontinued before I can purchase enough to stock up...haha. The black gap jeggings look so comfy and perfect for almost any occasion!
