What to wear while traveling has always been a struggle for me, especially when traveling to a destination that is on the opposite end of the temperature spectrum like this past vacation. How do I go from 25 degree, snowy weather to 80 degrees without freezing before leaving and dying of heat once I arrive, while still looking put together but decently comfy? It's a tall order but I think I finally nailed the perfect outfit on our trip to Clearwater. The biggest key is LAYERS - all of the layers.
The base of this outfit is the white tank top and the white jeans. You can easily strip down to just this when you arrive to your warm weather destination.
To top off the layers, a jean jacket. My jean jacket is easily the most worn item in my closet. I bought one from Old Navy maybe five years ago and I wear the thing to death.
So remember my big tote debate? I ordered the J Crew downing bag but really didn't love it when it came in. I ended up returning it and going with the Cuyana tote and couldn't be happier! It's perfect to throw everything in while traveling.
Converse are great traveling shoes because they're pretty easy on/easy off and comfortable if you find yourself running to catch your plane!
I'm always freezing, especially while flying and so I like to bring my huge blanket scarf in my bag to keep warm. Still loving this one from Amazon for only $10 - such a great deal.
And as for accessories, sunglasses because obviously. I always go with cheap ones since I break or lose them so easily! These faux diamond studs are simple and pretty and I always like to wear my watch while flying because I turn my phone off and it drives me crazy if I don't know what time it is.
Anything I missed or could improve on? Only two months til I'm off on my next trip :)
