February Favorites Round Up

Joining Mia and Kelli today for a review round up of products that were mentioned on the blog throughout the month of February!

Bare Minerals Neutralizing Primer (seen in this post)
So, it's just okay.  It does what it's supposed to do - minimizes redness - but that's about it.  It'll do for now but it's nothing compared to my beloved MUFE primer.

Better Call Saul (seen in this post)
Anyone else watching?  We are loving it so far!

Chicwish Trench (seen in this post)
I can't even review this trench because it STILL HASN'T ARRIVED.  And I ordered it on Feburary 12th!  They don't offer tracking on their shipping so I have no idea where the coat is/if it's even coming.  If it doesn't arrive by next week, I'm definitely going to be giving Chicwish a call.

Lancome Eye Makeup Remover (seen in this post)
I wanted to hate this - I really did - because who wants to pay $30 for eye makeup remover?  But of course it's awesome.  And I'm hooked.

Thayers Witch Hazel Toner (seen in this post)
LOVE this stuff!  My previous toner did a really great job at clearing the remaining makeup off my skin and so does Thayers but it goes a step further and is really evening out my skin tone.

Tote Bag (seen in this post)
Decisions, decisions - thank you for all of your input!  The J Crew tote is on its way to me now :)

Big Little Lies (seen in this post)
My February book had a slow start and it took me forever to really 'get into' it but once I did, I couldn't put it down.  Definitely recommend it and now I can't wait to check out The Husband's Secret.

And as for the Fitbit (here) and pretty white pants (here) - I never ordered them.  I know myself and know that I'll think the Fitbit is cool for about two weeks and then I'll be over it.  And the white pants, maybe when I have a specific occasion to wear them but for now, I didn't feel like spending the money.  Too many other fun things to buy instead ;)  What were you loving this past month?

  1. Witch Hazel toner is such a skin saver, isn't it? It did wonders for my skin when I was living back in NC, too drying on it now in London weather, but I always recommend it! Loving your feb favorites!

  2. YAY! So glad you got the J.Crew tote! I love it! I'm really going to have to try that toner, I need something good to even out my skin tone. And I agree with you on the FitBit. I feel like I'd love it for a month then never wear it again.

  3. At first I thought all those makeup items were your favorite and I was like wow girl you did some damage this past month lol! Lancome makeup remover is the best i've ever tried, like you said want to not like it but you can't! The same thing happened with my Chicwish vest...you can email them and they will tell you when it was shipped out - it takes FOREVER with their stuff...I will actually never order from there again lol! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston

  5. I still need to look into your MUFE primer. I was so excited about my new Becca primer, but it's caused my skin to break out soooo bad that I'm probably not going to even come close to finishing the tube :-P

  6. I've never tried witch hazel as toner, but I've heard it's spectacular! I should really give it a whirl! The Husbands Secret was such a good book. I'd say it's still my favorite Liane Moriarty book!

  8. I can't believe the trench hasn't arrived yet! I can't wait to see it though, it looks beautiful in the site's photos.

  9. Yes to Better Call Saul; we are loving it! I'm definitely getting the witch hazel toner since it lives up to the hype. And I think you should rethink the Fitbit Purchase... I've had mine for over 2 months and still love it. Some of us bloggers have been competing in challenges on it and it's seriously motivating!

  10. That witch hazel toner sounds wonderful - have you had any trouble with your sensitive skin reacting to it? I've only ever had bad reactions to toners, which is why I don't use one. That is so annoying that you haven't yet received your trench, and hooray for the J. Crew tote!

  11. I just ordered The Husband's Secret on Monday. I cannot wait to get it in the mail and start it. The description sounds so good!

  12. Thank you so much for the small book review. I was actually looking at that book and I wasn't sure about it. I think that I may get it now! Boo to your coat not arriving yet!! Yay for the J Crew tote though! I'm with you on the white jeans thing. While I'd love a pair, there are so many other fun things that I'd rather buy for spring and summer!!

  13. I am in LOVE with that photo, it is amazing! I highly suggest What Alice Forgot for your next book, it's sooo good!

  14. Loving the follow up - I hate when bloggers share things and then never come back and tell everyone what they think of it after trying it! So glad you love the makeup remover - isn't it awesome? I know it's pricey, but it will last you at least 6 months or more, so the price per use ends up being very reasonable:) Hope your trench arrives soon! I'd def call to check on that for sure!

  15. We need to catch up on Better Call Saul... we are 2 episodes behind ever since House Of Cards is back :/ It seems like the show is picking up now! I love your J Crew tote!!

  16. My favorite Liane Mortary book was actually What Alice Forgot - you should put that on your summer list too :)

  17. What a gorgeous photo of your goodies! Hope your trench arrives soon ...like today!! And that you love your fab J Crew tote when it makes it to your door too. :) Glad that you found some eye makeup remover that you love! (...even though you wanted to hate. lol. Some things are so good that they're worth the splurge! ;)) Have a lovely day, Katie! xo

  18. Definitely will be trying that toner! I bought a FitBit recently and took it back, I got a Polar Watch instead only to wear during a workout. I was disappointed in the FitBit because it only tracks steps, I needed actual calories burned. I wasn't a big fan...

  19. love a good round up! haha i'm with you on so many products... want to hate them & then love them & have to have them. of course.

  20. Isn't that eye makeup remover the best! And so glad the toner is a winner too! I hope your trench arrives soon, it's so pretty! Wasn't the ending of Big Little Lies so crazy?!!

  21. I watched the first episode of Better Call Saul, but need to catch back up. I'm hoping it's not as intense as Breaking Bad, it was hard for me to get through that show.

  22. Yay for the tote! You have me wanting it now... And I'm the same way about the FitBit. I want it, but I'll never bite the bullet and order it...Love your recap!

  23. I just finally got to the first episode of Better Call Saul... when that door opened & that GUY was there (no spoilers for anyone) I was like, Yep, gonna like this :)
Ohhh... you'll love the FitBit - guaranteed. Its not something you'd get over. It's actually the opposite - I've been reading posts everywhere where people are getting so addicted to it, its causing people to stop doing other exercises only to get step counts up. It was kinda funny, but had some truth on how people are revolving things around this wrist gadget. Maybe its best you DONT get one :)

  24. Sounds like you made the right call on the fitbit and white pants - I am the same with the white pants. Can't believe the trench hasn't arrived, that's ridiculous!

  25. I ordered a skirt from Chicwish and it finally came in last week! It definitely takes forever for them to ship. Doubt I'll buy from them again but that's mainly because I can't try things on before ordering and the skirt was a little tight lol

  26. I need to try that toner. I've heard so much about it. I just started that book too! It's going to be a movie too, which makes me even more excited to read the book.

  27. I use a witch hazel toner, although not that brand, and I LOVE it! Does wonders for my skin. Do you like Chanel's brushes? I've somehow lost ALL my makeup brushes in my move (!!!!!) and need to replace at least a few of them immediately. Recommendations?

  28. The husband's Secret is great. And I'd love to try that toner!

  29. Good to know about the witch hazel! I have some somewhere..I need to find it! So many good book reviews lately. I'm listening to "Leaving Time" by Jodi Picoult on tape right now and am liking it. Thanks for linking up, Katie!

  31. Love the Jcrew tote and I watched the first episode of Better Call Saul... it was pretty good!!

  32. :( I haven't seen more than the first two episodes of Better Call Saul. I fell behind and never made it back! Good call on Fitbit. I have one and I like it but can't keep it charged for the life of me.

  33. I love the tote that you got!! I need to watch Better call saul. I keep hearing about it but I never watched Breaking Bad (I know crazy) so would I even get it?
