Weekend Snaps

Fresh flowers, sunshine and House of Cards made for one great Friday!  We were able to get in four episodes this weekend and are loving the new season so far.  We did take a little break to watch Marley & Me since we hadn't seen it since it was in the theaters and now I remember why - talk about a tear jerker, oh my gosh.

Saturday morning we tried out a health club that I think we're going to join.  Racquetball was our warm up, although I spent most of the time in the corner hiding from Nick whacking the ball as hard as he could.

After living in our town for four and a half years combined (four in college), we finally made it to the brewery we're famous for - Bell's!  It was a fun night with friends and lots of good beer.

An Amazon order came in including this goodie - my March book.  A really easy, cute and lighthearted read.

This big dawg turned six months old on Sunday!  He's a little over 40 pounds, loves anything cloth (towels, pillows and especially socks), going to puppy class and napping on the couch - but only if we put him up there, he refuses to get up himself which I don't mind so much ;)

Where does the time go?  Not complaining though, I couldn't be happier to see March.  We're that much closer to spring!  Hope your weekends were great, too!

  4. Marley and Me was the first movie my husband and I ever saw together and I will never forget him bawling like a baby at the end. So adorable. I've seen so many people post about that Jennifer Scott book and I keep meaning to add it to my Amazon cart - it looks so good! Glad you had a good weekend!

  17. I have purposefully avoided Marley and Me, just because I know it will destroy me. I'm not sure if it's worth it. I read The Art of Racing in the Rain last year (also about a dog) and I couldn't stop sobbing for a long time. Haha on a more positive note, Brady looks ridiculously cute in your bed.

  18. It's funny -- our Golden very, very rarely would hop up in our bed. We would have to lift her up. We didn't mind so much either. :)

  21. Aw 6 months old and still a puppy at least :) Racquetball scares the crap out of me and I've never attempted it so go you, even if you did have to seek solace in the corner. Lovely tulips!

  22. That's funny you said Marley & Me... Ricky found that in a cheap DVD bin & was going to buy it... I literally slapped it out of his hands onto the ground & screamed, "THE DOG DIES!!!!"... people looked at me... Ricky instantly picked it up & threw it back in the bin... he knows better :)

  29. As much as I love Marley & Me and own the DVD, I cannot bring myself to watch it. Or I would have to fast forward through THE part of the movie (don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it) that would make me cry for hours while holding my Brady tight.

  38. Oh my goodness, I want to read that book so badly! I need to get my little fingers on it asap! Would love to know how you liked it after you've finished it up. Your racquetball experience is cracking me up - the first time I played, my husband hit the ball and I was turned trying to find it when it smacked me right in my face, hahaha. Needless to say, I need a face mask next time I try to play!
