Spring Classics

Spring is in full swing right now (finally) which means a few pieces in my wardrobe are on heavy rotation.  I'm really getting into the idea that less is more when it comes to fashion and investing in classics that will last, rather than whatever this seasons hottest trend is.  With this in mind, I've narrowed down my favorite versatile pieces that I would consider 'spring must haves' and would make a great base for any outfit.

Pictured above: Gap fitted boyfriend oxford shirt // J Crew striped pocket tee // Current Elliot destroyed skinny jeans //
Kate Spade Willa skimmer flats // Gorjana Taner bar necklace // Gap classic trench // Madewell Transport Tote //
Topshop skirted floral print skirt

What would you consider a spring classic?

  1. Love those flats; nude is perfect for this time of year! I too tend to invest in pricier (better quality) items that last and avoid the trends. A much better way to shop!

  2. Oh that tote! I have a weak spot for camel colored bags. Haha. I love oxford shirts, but it is entirely TOO hot to wear them here very much :( And that dainty necklace -- yes, please!

  6. Love your way of thinking! I usually don't invest in overly trendy items/pieces either (half the time because I think they look ridiculous). That trench and that floral skirt are everything though, and perfect for spring :-D

  9. Love all of it!! My trench is one of my favorite spring staples along with all of my flats. I need to invest in a striped shirt and classic tote bag though!

  12. Love all of it! FYI, I have a pair of Sam Edelman ballet flats that are just like those Kate Spade's. They're really comfortable too. Just thought that I'd let you know that. ;-) Have a great day!! :-)

  24. I'm on the hunt for some distressed denim, new flats and bright colors. I find myself paying more for staple items that I will wear all season long and only buying things I love that fit really well. I love to add in trends with my accessories - scarves, fun jewelry or bags.

  26. I've had the worst time finding a trench (in my budget) that fits right, but I never even thought to check out gap! I have that Gorjana necklace currently from my latest Rocksbox and it seriously goes with everything- love it!
