At Home Facial Favorites

It was just this past winter that I discovered the amazing-ness that is getting a facial.  However the not so amazing part... the price tag.  To cut back on costs a bit, I've decided to go every other month and during those off months, give myself an 'at home facial'.  I've been experimenting with products for a little while now and have a few that I l-o-v-e so I had to share them with you today!

ONE | Ole Henriksen Lemon Strip Flash Peel
What it is: A one-step natural acid peel to resurface, refine pores and soften the look of lines.
I'm trying to be more conscious of what's in my beauty products and that's what drew me to this one - it's formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates.  It felt great going on, no major tingling and really smoothed and evened out my skin tone.

TWO | GLAM GLOW Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment
What it is: A 10 minute professional mud-mask for men and women.
Probably the holy grail of facial products and definitely the best I've ever tried!  This stuff is amazing - my face is brighter, softer and more radiant after every use.  The only downfall is that it ain't cheap but I'd say its results are equivalent to at spa facial so I think it's worth it.

THREE | Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask
What it is: The masks hydrating benefits leave the skin feeling clearer, softer, smoother and less oily.
If you're looking for a low cost option that actually works, here it is!  This one is found at Target or Ulta and is great for girls with combination skin.  Just an FYI: it is a bit watery so be careful when dispensing.

FOUR | Sephora Collection Face Mask
What it is: A line of natural fiber sheet masks, each with a skin refreshing benefit.
I haven't tried these since they re-packaged them but I can't wait to, especially now that there are different masks for different skin needs.  The original always made my skin feel super hydrated, refreshed and just brand new.  These are sheet masks though so wear with caution - I think I scarred my husband for life the first time I came out of the bathroom wearing one ;)

FIVE | Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment
What it is: A dual action exfoliation method that seemingly smooths away years in as little as two minutes.
Sometimes we need just a bit more exfoliating than our Clarisonic can give us and this is the product to do it.  I especially love to use this in the cooler months when my skin is super dry and flaky (gross).  It gets rid of all of those dead, dull skin cells and makes your face brighter and clearer.

What are your favorite at home facial products?  I'm always looking for new ones to try!

  1. I think I might be one of the only people in the world who isn't a fan of Glam Glow! I've tried 2 of their facials and I'm not really impressed with either. I definitely need to look into that clay mask though!

  3. I've never tried any of these products, but like B, I love a good mud mask. Artistry has a great mask I love to use a few times a month, it does the job and makes my skin feel so clear.

  6. I still have never gotten a facial, but I think I'm going to finally splurge on one soon to see if it helps deep clean my large pores. I've had nothing but amazing experiences with Kate Sommerville and Ole Henriksen products ;-)

  10. I got a facial in Singapore and it was fab. But other than that it's not something that I go and do because of the price tag. Thanks for sharing a fun way to do it at home though! I just want to continue to fight the signs of aging haha. :-)
