Confessions

It's Wednesday and it's been far too long since I participated in a good ol' confession session.  So let's get to it!

I confess that I can't find peonies for sale ANYWHERE here.  What's so weird about it is that everyone has a peony bush in their yard... but you can't find a bouquet to buy to save your life.  Boo.

I confess that I've ate pizza for the last three days in a row.  We got it on Sunday night and then I had leftovers for Monday dinner and Tuesday lunch.  And there's still two pieces left soooo you know what that means.  I'm probably having it for lunch again today.

I confess that I'm not the biggest fan of patterned workout bottoms but these babies- I NEED.  How fun and different are they?

I confess that if you asked me last week, I would have said Clint was going to win The Bachelorette.  Uhhh, not anymore.  I can't decide if this whole loving JJ thing is real or a result of great editing.  Either way, I can't wait to see what happens on Monday!

I confess that Brady and I have been walking 4 miles each day and I'm actually sore.  So pathetic - must.exercise.more.

I confess I'm having such a hard time getting into this book.  I'm already about halfway but it is d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g.  Has anyone else read it - does it get better?

I confess that the bathroom still isn't done.  And that's all there is to say about that.

Have a good one, ladies!

  1. Four miles a day is impressive; I would expect you to be sore for a week or two. I see no problem with the pizza situation. :)

  2. Pizza + 4 miles walks? Winning! I heard that there is a serious bromance on the bachelor yesterday... True or false??

  3. I had a hard time getting into Dark Places too! I did end up finishing it but I'm not sure if it actually got better lol. I will say the ending was interesting and unexpected so I guess I'm glad I finished it. I have the same problem with peonies in Southern Indiana! It's our gosh darn state flower for goodness sake and I can't find them anywhere!!

  4. Oh no - Clint is just a LOSER...now it's just guys and girls trying to get famous!!! I cant find peonies anywhere either :( Happy Wednesday! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  6. 4 miles a day is much better than I've been doing! I've so behind on Bachelorette this week. I took cold medicine on Monday night in an effort to get rid of a nasty cough, and I couldn't make it to the end! Happy Wednesday!

  7. You should plant a peony bush! Most perrenials take a few years to really produce a ton of flowers so start now! Also, I didn't love that book, it was just okay. A classic "who dun it".

  8. I love these posts!!! I agree about the workout leggings, but those are cute. I want peonies too but that will involve getting them at the farmers market since I haven't seen them anywhere else. Do you guys have a farmers market nearby? You could probably get them there. I don't want the Bachelorette or the Bachelor, but they were talking about that guy on a local talk show and I was like I may need to tune in now. I hope that you have a great day today and that the weather is nice there too! :-)

  9. Insanely jealous of your pizza eating, and looking as fabulous as you do! I'll trade you some beautiful peonies for your metabolism lol ;-)

  10. I had a really hard time getting into Gone Girl, I feel like that it just her style maybe? Four miles is a lot to walk! I would be sore too! Pizza helps though and there is nothing wrong with that :)

  11. Oh goodness, too much pizza is the story of my life right now! Between Stanley Cup Finals and our fridge deciding to crap out over the weekend (oh, and it's still not fixed and all the food went into the garbage bin ...) pizza has been our go-to! And, girl - don't feel bad about being sore from walking. I feel the same way when I get back from a walk with Finn, and I've been going to the gym daily! :)

  12. I read Dark Places last fall after I finished Gone Girl and Sharp Objects. It does get better, and the momentum definitely builds toward the end... I don't want to say more for fear of spoiling it, but I have lots of opinions about it (https://cardigancladculinary.wordpress.com/2014/09/15/review-dark-places/). I'll definitely be interested to hear what you think of it after you finish!

  13. I have totally done that with pizza before, too. Hey if you don't eat it all the first time you have to finish it before it goes bad haha!

  15. I would be sore too if I walked four miles. I totally have eaten pizza for three days in a row. I haven't read that book but my friend started it and stopped it, she too couldn't get into it.

  17. What a turn Clint took!!!!! CRAAZZZZYYYYY!!!!!
My parents have peony bushes in their yard... mmm... the smell. we were looking for a bush to plant & we couldn't even find that!

  18. Cute workout pants! I haven't read that book... I actually didn't even read Gone Girl. Eek!

  19. Peonies pop in and out of our grocery stores, but they can be tricky. I've heard good things about The Bouqs if you wanted to do an online order.

  20. Peonies are my favorite! It's a bummer you can't find any!

  21. i like the idea of patterned workout bottoms but i would never wear them lol.
you should just go up to one of the houses and ask for a bouquet of peonies ;)

  22. 4 miles a day, that is awesome! I need some new workout pants, I love the purple Aura Zella ones.

  23. Don't feel bad about being sore after 4 miles, that's a lot to walk. I did a ton of walking last weekend and was more sore after it than if I had gone on a run. Gimme all the pizza, haha.

  24. If you don't get to TJ's when they open, the peonies are all gone here too! Craziness. Andddd I'm with you on the excessive pizza eating. It's just a phase... we'll get out of it :)

  25. if you have a Trader joes where you live there's so many peonies!! and theyre so BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! k and I can't tell about the clint thing, either! something tells me they are editing it a TON to make it seem that he likes JJ but on the other hand, if he liked guys, I don't think he would randomly decide that on TV let alone ADMIT it on tv for the world to find out. just seems fishy...

  26. i think shawn has a great chance to win. and the bromance going on? ehhh i don't buy it. it's kind of annoying! things the bachelorette will do for ratings haha.

pizza that many days in a row sounds like a win to me girl.

  27. 4 miles a day = pizza every day is more than forgivable! Killing it! :)

  28. Get it girl! 4 miles is great!

I've been eating pepperoni hot pockets for the past week because Kyle bought the value pack (like 20 in a pack)...so don't worry about eating pizza for the past few days.

  29. OMG the whole Clint thing… I can't. I'm also wondering if it's completely fake because it was just TOO much haha. The lack of rose ceremonies is pissing me off though!!

  30. I love this confessions post! So fun. And i feel you with the exercise. I have been really slacking and could barely finish a three mile jog with the dogs yesterday.. so sad!

  31. Either Clint is just the biggest douche ever, or the editing team at The Bachelor is amazing and totally created a new storyline. Guess we'll find out on Monday! I've heard that, aside from Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn's books can be really hard to get into. I think she's a dark and twisty person, and if you're not, then her style just might not be for you. Gone Girl was as dark and twisty as I can take!

  32. Don't feel guilty about the pizza, we usually eat it at least once a week (but often times it's two or more times haha); in fact, we had it tonight and will be eating it for lunch tomorrow as well!
I have been attempting the 5k runner app and haven't died yet, which is saying a lot considering I couldn't run a block when I started. I've always been a horrible walker/runner.

  33. I love this! I have a peony plant in our front yard that bloomed 2 peonies this year! But guess what! They died 2 days after they bloomed... whaaa whaaaaaa.... I think trader joes sometimes carries peonies. I have called ahead of time before to make sure they are there lol! And pizza sounds amazing... jealous!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ohh I love peonies! SO pretty! 4 miles a day is awesome, I would be sore too! We eat pizza at least once a week, it's a necessity! :)

  35. Dark Places was similar to Sharp Objects in that everything comes tumbling out towards the end. I was on a flight reading Dark Objects and I remember it landed when I had just started the last chapter, and I had to drag myself off the plane when I just wanted to finish it!!! A definite page-turner at the end.

  36. Yeah, what happened to Clint? That was a quick switch. He seemed so normal!
