Weekending: Bridal Shower Fun

A weekend of good food and good friends = all the thumbs up in my book.

Things started off on a high note when Nick surprised me with CHICK-FIL-A for dinner!!!!  He drove almost 4 hours home with it and I was in chicken sandwich and waffle fry heaven.  Oh, how much do I miss that place.  I'm about to start some sort of petition for them to come to Michigan.  Or maybe I'll just open one myself.

On Friday, it was cool and cloudy so we just grabbed dinner, watched a few episodes of Sons of Anarchy on Netflix (anyone else watching?) and had an at home spa night - well maybe that part was just me.

Saturday, I was up bright and early to head to the east side of Michigan for a bridal shower.  It was such a fun day celebrating our friend, Alex and her husband-to-be Mark, and we are so excited for the wedding next month!

Don't mind my crooked dress....

After the shower, we hung out at Alex's parents house for the rest of the night playing beer pong and eating pizza - keeping things very classy, of course.

Grandma's first selfie stick picture!

Before heading back home on Sunday, we had to stop at Ann Arbors famous Zingerman's Deli - so so so good - and grab these breakfast sandwiches.  I'm drooling just remembering them.

It was a gorgeous day so Nick and I worked on some landscaping (with Brady supervising) and later, wrapped up the night at our next door neighbors house with a camp-fire and a few beverages.  Another perfect summer weekend in the books!

But Chick-fil-a...oh man, since we've lived in TX that has been a weekly dinner for us haha. I will definitely miss that someday. 27. So excited for you that you were able to enjoy some yummy Chick Fil A!!! What a thoughtful husband you have!! :) Before we got one in our area, we once drove an hour and a half (each way) to go to the nearest one on a date night! lol. We'd always go out of our way on road trips to hit one up if possible too. We finally have one in a neighboring city now so I have hopes for you that one day you will too! *fingers crossed* ;) Glad you enjoyed celebrating with friends over the weekend! xo - Brenda // Chatting Over Chocolate
