Weekending: Bachelorette Style

Another seriously fun weekend in the books.  This one was so MUCH fun that I was a little scared to check my bank account on Monday morning...  whoops.

I arrived in the city at noon on Saturday and joined everyone at the hotel (we stayed at the Marriott on Michigan Avenue which was the perfect location for the festivities if you're ever in need!).  The bride-to-be, Tiffany, opened her gifts and then we packed up and headed straight for North Avenue beach for the day.  It was literally perfect beach weather and we made lots of new friends thanks to a certain pink blow up, affectionately named 'Phil'.

PS: Remind me that next summer I need to invest in a few more strapless swimsuit tops.  I've been wearing this same one for the last few weekends since I'm going to be in a wedding soon and can't have tan lines!!

After a super quick shower/getting ready break, we headed out for the night at 7:30pm.  Nothing like getting the party started early!  The first stop was to one of my personal favorite bars EVER and where I went for my own bachelorette party, Howl at the Moon.  It's a super high energy piano bar with fishbowl drinks, on stage dancing, music requests - so. much. fun.

We headed to a rooftop bar after that and then a couple more stops on Hubbard Street before crawling into bed as the sun was coming up.  I wish I could share more pictures but unfortunately they're a bit inappropriate for this little blog ;)  The sign of a successful bachelorette party!

Sunday, we wrapped up the weekend with a stop at Waffles Cafe in the Streeterville neighborhood.  All I'm going to say is that it was seriously delicious (I mean just look at that picture) and that everyone needs to try a 'wonut' once in their life.  Yum yum yum.

Such a fabulous weekend with lots of new friends - only 6 weeks til the wedding, the countdown is on!
