FriYAY

It's Friiiiday!  Our Indian summer definitely ended this week - it's been a little dreary/cloudy and we're heading into more of the same for the weekend.  Oh well, that just means we can get lots of home projects done - like buying a new storm door, painting... exciting stuff.  Hopefully we can also fit in a trip to the pumpkin patch now that it's officially OCTOBER!  This year is seriously flying by.  Anyway, a few favorite links from around the web this week...

+ My favorite Hue leggings are currently 25% off at Nordstrom (& free shipping!) so I stocked up for the fall/winter with two new pairs.

+ Homemade crockpot applesauce was on the menu this week and it was SO good and so easy.  I'll never buy the prepackaged stuff again!  I also threw in some brown sugar and nutmeg for extra flavor.

+ I just picked up 'The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up' and can't wait to read it - this article on 200+ things to throw away was great prep for the book.

+ Now that the weather has cooled off, I finally got to break out my new booties (in black)!
Love them with everything and they're super comfortable.

+ Pumpkin spice granola?  Yes, please.

+ And ICYMI, two posts about all things fall this week: fall candles and fall beauty trends.

Enjoy your weekends!  Xoxo

  2. Jealous that you already got to wear booties, still in flip flops in Texas lol. But it may be in the mid to low 80s this weekend which is much cooler! Pumpkin spice granola sounds amazing!! Have a great weekend!

  6. I made homemade applesauce two weeks ago (during my san sugar phase) and it was AMAZING. I just did a little nutmeg and cinnamon. I didn't miss the sugar at all, although next time I think I'll add the brown sugar too ;) I was like "I can't wait to have kids so I can make this for them" hahaha.

  8. Oh my gosh, this may be my favorite post this week! I am totally order that book and those leggings (THANK YOU). And that list is spot on...my husband HATES clutter, and I try really hard to not gather things, but things gather on their own! I swear!! PS Our Indian summer is over, too (I am in Maine), and I am a little excited to pull out fall clothes and decorations, although the snow can just stay away this year, if it wants! :) Happy Friday!!

  29. Oh man. I am all about candles and especially seasonal ones. I'm just super picky about scents. I love the allspice and nutmeg scents, not as big on pumpkin or apple.

  30. I've been meaning to go to the pumpkin patch, too! I drove past it today on my way to and from my sister's... and didn't stop because there were too many "city folk" there for my taste. lol
