Netflix and Chill

This post could also be titled 'The Weekend We Became Addicted to Lost' or 'The One Time I Took Zero Pictures'... because we basically just watched Netflix all weekend and it. was. awesome.

We are seriously obsessed with Lost right now - I lost count after the 9th? 10th? episode we watched in the last 72 hours.  Only ten years behind, I know, but holy crap, it is SO GOOD.   We're only just starting season 2 and we're cruising right through it.  We literally avoided texts from friends on Saturday about going out, just so we could keep watching.  #sorrynotsorry

I don't think we've been this addicted to a show since Breaking Bad (which at this point, I still say is better).  I can't stop thinking about it and we find any random 45 minutes throughout the day to just quick watch another episode.  Addicted, I tell you.  I mean I woke up on Saturday night in the middle of the night randomly and just laid in bed thinking about that stupid hatch for like an hour.

Other highlights of the weekend include getting the best pad thai in the world that I've been craving for like two weeks, picking up new flannel sheets for our bed (!), having lunch with Nicks parents, and enjoying the sunshiny weather.  Nothing exciting around here lately, but it's kind of just what we've been needing after a crazy summer and being on the brink of the holiday season.  Every weekend starting Thanksgiving is booked solid for almost two months - so nuts!  - so we're enjoying the downtime for now.

Hope you all had a great weekend, too!

  2. I had such an obsession with Lost when it was on. I'm sad it's done now but at the same time the last season (in my opinion) was so disappointing. I'm right there with you on binge watching shows, yes please! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  3. A netflix marathon sounds like the perfect way to spend a weekend....we did that with homeland this weekend and are finally caught up! And you did make it out of the house - so cheers to you lol! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  4. You do my kind of marathoning! ;) We have had weekends where we get addicted to a show and that's all that we want to do--sometimes it's nice to just recharge from a week with a show you enjoy, and the person you love. Simple and easy! :) Throw in the world's best pad thai and you've got a recipe for perfection I think! :)

  5. These are the best weekends! I love "documenting" the fun stuff but being able to just do nothing and enjoy it, it's simply the best! We stopped watching lost after someone told us the ending. It just messed it up for us.

  7. Never watched Lost, so I guess you have officially left me all alone now. Sometimes you need a weekend EXACTLY like that. No judgment here. ;)

  8. Best. Weekend. Ever!! I sat out on couch for 6ish hours yesterday and after a busy weekend, just that was glorious!! I've never watched Lost but everyone raves about it so I'm sure I would love it! Add it to the list of "things I'll do on maternity leave" lol. Happy Monday doll :)

  16. Yay for flannel sheets and Netflix marathons! We binge watched Breaking Bad and House of Cards and both are 2 of the best shows ever. We'll have to look into Lost once I'm done with the final season of Mad Men ;-)

  18. Love those kind of weekends! I started watching Lost on Netflix the year the last season started on TV, so I was way behind too - and I think I binge watched the entire thing in a couple weeks, no kidding. I missed SOO many classes (undergrad) due to that! haha ;)

  19. That meme is too funny- there is no part of me that wants to run in a marathon but Netflix however.... haha.

  21. Hahaha, that picture is soooo funny. Breaking bad was another one that I loved at first and then at a certain point just couldn't get through an episode. But I know the feeling you're talking about...it reminds of when I watched True Blood. I watched it after it was over so I had allll the seasons at my fingertips and I would watch it on my phone every single opportunity I got. I talked about it with everyone I knew. I was so obsessed. Even talking about it just now I feel like I need to watch it again lol. Even though it's technically "lazy" don't you feel like so accomplished when you get through a ton of episodes? I always feel like I finished a book or something when I'm done with a season, but it's totally not the same thing at all lol. But I think that's kind of what winter is all about. Lay on the couch season. And heck yeah the end of the year gets so stressful, so best to enjoy it now!

  22. LOST!!!!! SO GOOD. You make me want to do a rewatch. Where are you guys?

  23. Lost was great! I can't imagine watching it in real time and having to wait a week between episodes. Glad you got to enjoy a low key weekend. The holidays are always crazy so it sounds perfect to me.

  25. Lost is on my "to watch" list, too!!!! I remember seeing an episode a while ago (when it was still on TV) but I couldn't follow along... definitely the kind of show you need to start from the beginning.

  26. Sounds like a perfectly relaxing weekend!! Love netflix marathons! I'm currently reliving my youth and rewatching Dawson's Creek from the beginning. lol. I probably shouldn't admit that.

  27. Haha Kyle and I have been doing a marathon with American Horror Story (I surprisingly like it) and have binge watched several episodes, we're in season three, we started on Halloween (and seeing as we only watch it together, which on weekends that's a lot of marthoning). Haven't started Lost though, it may be the next one after this.

  29. Weekends where you just get sucked into a new show are totally perfect!! ;) I remember when Jared and I discovered Prison Break... we could NOT STOP WATCHING haha!

  30. hahaha this is awesome! KC and I rarely binge watch shows because we have such differing tastes. We have in the past, but we burn out quickly. I'll be interested to see what you think of Lost after a couple of seasons. I was addicted to it when it first came out, but didn't watch the whole thing, so you can just tell me what happens!

  31. Haha! That's how Christopher and I were too when we first started watching lost in college! We were on Christmas break when we discovered it and we watched the first two seasons in just a couple of weeks! Ah, to have the schedule of a college student again. ;)

  35. I love so much when I’m that addicted to the show! I’m hoping some of the ones on my list do this to me in the winter – I’m trying to save them for something to look forward to! I can’t wait for some downtime – this weekend of yours sounds fantastic!

  36. I am so happy I stumbled upon your blog! Girl, I can totally relate to a weekend full of Netflix. My boyfriend and I were also addicted to Breaking Bad, but have never watched Lost... we may have to start! Pad thai is also one of my favorite things in the world! Sounds like the perfect weekend to me!
