Confessions

Image via

We're halfway through another week!  You know what that means... confession time.

I confess that I was disappointed with the Real Housewives of Dallas premiere this week.  I actually stayed up (past my bed time) to watch it live and wasn't that impressed.  The ladies seem super immature and awkward.  I'll give it a few more episodes, hopefully it gets better!

I confess that I've been bitten by the spring cleaning bug.  I actually deep cleaned our dishwasher and oven this week - for the first time ever.  I wasn't even aware you were supposed to do this regularly until I read about it on Pinterest, oops.

I confess that I can't wait to get this monogram necklace after we officially decide on the baby's name.  So that'll probably be when she's born because I'm having such a hard time really committing to one - such a big decision.  It's so cute though and under $40!

I confess that I am still hoarding bags of Cadbury Eggs.  I stocked up right before Easter because I love those things so much and why can they only come around once a year?  I actually even hid them in my pantry when we had our house/dog sitter staying over when we were in California - didn't want anyone getting into my stash, ha!

I confess that despite taking forever to finish it, I really loved this book.  It was probably the last 'for fun' read I'll have for a while - bring on all the baby books!  Starting this one this week.

I confess that I've been hunting this stuff down at every Target I go to and can't find it anywhere.  So many beauty bloggers swear by it and I'm dying to try.  I just need to order it online because look at all of those fabulous reviews!

I confess that I'm already excited for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  I heard it starts on July 22nd and I can't wait.  I won't be pregnant anymore so I can wear normal clothes again and plan on shopping till I drop!  Better start saving my money now ;)

Do you guys have any good confessions?  I'll see ya back here tomorrow - sharing my favorites from pregnancy so far.  Have a good day!

  3. The glow tonic is definitely at Target--I saw it there this past week. I have the bottle, I haven't tried it yet though. I need to get on that! Yay for Spring cleaning (aka nesting haha) and for choosing the baby's name. So exciting but I'm sure also really nerve wracking!

  4. Oh no - I was so excited about the Dallas premier, but I haven't watched it yet. I am obsessed with RHONY though, and I think this season will be a good one. And I hear you on the spring cleaning - I scrubbed by baseboards and crown molding last weekend and I was so excited, haha!

  5. I was not impressed by the Dallas premiere either.. I hope it gets better. I also got a monogrammed necklace for my kids and will add the letter to it for this one when he arrives, but I LOVE the one you are getting! So cute!

  6. I watched Dallas too - it was honestly just out of control. They were so catty immediately, which I guess can be expected, but like you said, it was just so immature! And loving that monogram necklace! So cute!

  7. Ok I'm sooo glad I didn't bother with the RHOD now! All the other ones have been so annoying to me lately but of course I'm hanging in there with them because I'm hooked. I thought I would have to hear about how great it was and then I'd have to catch up! I had no idea you were supposed to clean your dishwasher either. Doesn't it "clean" every time it's on?! Another thing to add to the "before the baby gets here" list, I guess.

  10. Haha I so still have some cadbury eggs too! Picking a baby name can be such a hard decision but once you find out the one you both like it'll be wonderful!

  11. Thank you for the RHOD tip! I didn't know it premiered (we are television-free but I stream during naps!). Husby grew up in Dallas so I must give it a try (though I feel I'm only a fan of about half the cities). I feel you on the Cadbury Cream Eggs - we had a stash until about January of this past year when little man was potty training (probably TMI, but you will be there one day with your little one, right??). Anyway, he chose the last one as a potty training "reward" then wanted more.... Ummmm, we had to keep punting and checking Target religiously until they stocked them for Easter again. Lesson learned, we stock up now.

  12. Oh man choosing baby names is so difficult. It will be with baby forever! My husband named our baby from the very day we knew we were expecting. We didn't even know if it was a boy or not. So it stuck. Lucas it is, still thinking of a middle name!

  13. I think Mark has seriously called out cable provider to make sure Bravo TV is never allowed in our house hahahah but in all seriousness, I heard they call wine Jesus Juice? What is that about?

  15. I'm cracking up that you hid your candy from your dog sitter - lol! Such a good move. I'm glad that you liked the Paris Wife - it wasn't for me, but it is a good book! If you find that Pixi stuff, let me know!

  16. I honestly was amazed at the Dallas housewives. All the talk about poop & farts? Really? Way to make Dallas proud ladies.

I am so proud of myself - trying to loose another 25 lbs I steered clear of the Cadbury egg clearance. But man, I stood there at the container & had an inner debate about it :) haha... Eat them for me momma. You have a great excuse. Baby needs to learn NOW how good they are :)

  17. I haven't gotten to watch the RHOD premiere yet but it doesn't seem to be very popular so far! I'm all about some spring cleaning right now too. I'm also super excited for the anniversary sale! Already marked it down in my planner :) We better get to saving!

  18. July seems so far away, but I know it will be here so quickly! I didn't watch Dallas, but I'm interested to hear if you think it gets better after a few more episodes. And totally jealous you still have cadbury eggs!

  19. I confess that I love your adorable shoes!!!

  20. Oh my gosh - I love that you hid your Cadbury stash from your dog sitter! That is hilarious. I saw that Pixi serum on someone's Insta feed recently, but haven't heard much about it. Sounds awesome though! And just a warning - I have an in-between wardrobe for after pregnancy and feeling more back to normal. Only now am I starting to really fit in my old clothes again!

  22. I still can't believe I missed the premiere of the Dallas Housewives, but it sounds like I didn't miss much as I've only heard "meh" things about it. Yay for Cadbury eggs and a name! Can't wait to hear the big news <3

  23. Ahhh I can't wait to find out the baby's name. I swear it's such a hard decision. I've always known my girl name, but since we had a boy, I had no idea. His name is not even one I grew up thinking about, but all of a sudden it just clicked. I hope it does the same for you too. Also, thanks for the Nordstrom pre-reminder :)

  24. I can't wait to find out the baby's name - along with everyone else! She is going to be one stylish little miss I have a feeling. Bummed to hear the new RH isn't too good. I'll give it a try and hope for the best right there with ya!

  25. I confess that as much as I love DIY, most of the time Kyle has to finish them up for me because I get in way over my head.

I'm seriously loving that necklace! Kyle got me one after Sophie was born to replace mine, but he got it from etsy. It's this one and I absolutely love it, I've worn it since I got it which was nearly 2 years ago, I did change out the chain for a sturdier one, but I love it regardless. It's basically that Sophie holds the key to our hearts.

  30. I didn't like RHW of Dallas either! At least NY is back too, so I can get my fix watching them instead lol I've been looking for that Pixi toner too! Let me know if you get your hands on it, and if you like it! xx

  31. I didn't watch RHOD yet, but was kinda of put off by the promos. So sick of watching ladies past their prime with terrible plastic surgery. BORING.
