Summer Bucket List

Why must the weekends end?!  This one was such a good one.  The weather couldn't have been more beautiful and it was filled with my favorite things: good food, friends, fun and lots of things checked off the to do list.

We finished up all of our final baby chores (I have a car seat in my car now!) and are as ready as we're going to be for whenever she wants to make her appearance!  We also went to one of our favorite waterfront restaurants, visited our friends cottage, went golfing, took Brady to some local trails for a walk, went to our friends 3 year old daughters birthday and ended the weekend with fro-yo and one of Nick's pasta creations.  The best.

Now that Memorial Day is behind us, summer is (un)officially here!  I'm so excited for this summer.  I know it's going to be a crazy and different one with a new baby, but I'm looking forward to a slower pace and staying home.  We tend to try and cram so much into our summer weekends that it flies by, so this year I want to just relax and soak in the long summer days.  I made a list of a few fun things around town that I want to do - good thing I've got my baby carrier ready to go!

SUMMER BUCKET LIST
Go golfing
Celebrate Nick's 30th birthday with a BBQ
Take the baby to the beach
Eat at a drive-in restaurant by the water
Check out a flea market in town
Have a girls night out with my Junior League friends
Eat all the gyros and saganaki at Greek Fest this weekend!
Spend our 3rd anniversary on Mackinaw Island (this one may be a bit ambitious)
Try Sherman's Ice Cream in South Haven
Taco Truck Friday's

Most of our to do's revolve around food - no surprise there, ha!  What do you have going on this summer?

  2. Great list! Take advantage of getting out while she's still little! Logan went out to eat with us a lot and just slept in his carseat. It was great! I really want to go to Mackinaw sometime! It seems like a relaxing place.

  9. Sherman's is the best ice cream! I suggest their Sherman Tracks or their Mackinaw Island Fudge. My husband would suggest their Rainbow Sherbet or Cookie Dough.

  17. Sounds like a fun summer list! No shame in it revolving around food. Speaking of food-greek festivals are the best! They have a big one in Atlanta every year in October. I dream about the food when that time rolls around.
