Happy National Donut Day!

Image via

Friday again?!  Yes, please! ;) And it's National Donut Day, which is a serious holiday to be celebrated in our house.  This week went so fast, I love it when they start on Tuesdays.  The BEST part (other than the donuts) has been finishing up the nursery.  I am in loveeee.  I'm going to take pictures of it this weekend and hope to share on the blog next week!

As for tonight, I'll be out eating all of the greek food.  Is it bad that I was hoping this baby wouldn't come early so I could go to Greek Fest?!  Haha.  Now that I'm 38 weeks, I keep saying that I'm going to try all of the old wives tricks to get labor started, but I keep chickening out.  I did purchase a bounce ball last night so I may give that a try this weekend.  My only reason I want her to be a little early is that my due date is June 16th... and my step-brother is getting married on June 17th.  I'm obviously not planning on going to the wedding, but I just don't want our family to feel torn between two places!  I know babies will come when they want to come, but did any crazy tricks work for you to get things going?

A few other things to love from this week...

+ My new favorite mascara combo: this one to provide volume and top it with this one to lengthen my lashes.

+ As if you needed another reason to fill your home with fresh flowers, Glitter Guide will give you four.
(Ps. use these tips to help keep them alive!)

+ Loved Cait's post on one piece swimsuits this week.  Officially added this one to my shopping cart.

+ I am on the hunt for a blush swaddle blanket.  I LOVE the Little Unicorn one, but it seems to be sold out everywhere (as does all of their cute stuff).  I have it in my head that I need it for our newborn pictures... anyone know where I could find one?!

+ Neeeeed this black maxi dress.  Strapless and those pretty ruffles make it so fun!  I'm all about pieces like this that can be dressed up or down.  Although I'd probably wear it with my denim jacket and gladiator sandals about 99% of the time, ha!

+ And best for last... where to get free donuts today!

Have a great weekend!

  6. I'm cracking up because I just watched the Gilmore Girls episode when Sookie is trying to move things along with getting labor started, and she's convinced that he's lodged in there and not coming out. Ha! Like you said, babies will come when they want! Definitely checking out the one-piece swimsuits post - have a great weekend!
