Friday's Five

Happy Friday!  Look at me... scheduling a post ahead of time and everything!  It's crazy that I haven't blogged on Friday's since the one right before Hadley was born 5 weeks ago.  It honestly feels like a lifetime has happened since then!

What do you guys have planned for this weekend?  We are going out to dinner with some friends tonight and the weather is so nice that I think we'll eat outside which I can't wait for.  Nicks parents are coming tomorrow to hang out for the day and Sundays have become our new 'get all the things done when there are two people home to watch the baby' days!

Here's what we were up to this week...

ONE | It was a big week because Hadley turned one month old on Monday (post here) and then on Wednesday we celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary!  Can't believe it's already been 3 years.  Time flies when you're having fun, right?  The celebrations looked a little different this year - no trip to Charleston or even a fancy dinner out.  Instead we went on a Target run for baby stuff, washed bottles and passed out early.  But you know what, that's just where we are in life right now and I wouldn't have it any other way!

TWO | Anyone watching The Bachelorette?  Not really a fan of either of Jojo's two final choices... and have no idea who she is going to pick.  I'm thinking Jordan though because #famousbrother

THREE | The Nordstrom sale continues on.  To be honest, I was a little disappointed this year.  Not in the selection because that was AMAZING, but the shipping has sucked and I can't believe how quickly so many things went out of stock (first world problems, I know).  A few of my favorite purchases that are still available: these cute zipper leggings, the ever popular $15 v-neck tee (I really do love this and want to order more colors, but I'm nervous because it says dry clean only... has anyone tried to wash it yet?), my favorite toner pads, this bandage dress I'm hoping to wear to a wedding in October, and of course the Kendra Scott pendant necklace.

FOUR | I've finally jumped on the BeautyCounter bandwagon!  I'm so excited.  The 2 for 1 sale was just too good to pass up - it's going on through today only! - and I ordered the body wash and hand cream.  Can't wait to report back... I'm sure I'll be hooked.

FIVE | Give me your book recommendations!  I've pretty much only read baby books for all of 2016 so far (besides this one which only solidified my love for the name Hadley :)) and am sick and tired of them.  Especially with a beach vacation coming up at the end of August, I want a few good, lighthearted, casual reads to take with.  Think Elin Hilderbrand or Liane Moriarty type books...

I swear one of these days I will get back on a regular blog posting schedule (I hope anyway haha).  Who knew a little baby could take up so much of your time! ;) That and I'm just trying to soak up every minute with her.  Like I really could put her down more and get stuff done, but I just don't.  She's only going to be so small once.  It's crazy how she has really made me refocus my priorities and how I think about/approach life.  Suddenly so many things I used to take so seriously seem much less important and my little family is really all that matters.  It's only been a month, but she's already making me a better person.

Sorry, didn't mean to get so deep there, ha!  Enjoy your weekends!

  4. Happy Anniversary! Isn't it crazy how everything changes overnight? What you do with your time, what you care about...it's all different! Camden is already not a snuggley as he was at 4 weeks so cherish every single moment!! Nothing is more important right now. Nothing. <3 Have a great weekend, friend!

  5. Oh, Jojo!! The previews for next week are killing me because she's basically saying she knows Jordan is a bad choice (#notherefortherightreasons) but she STILL want to pick him!! Did she look sad to you at Men Tell All?? I think she did! But, Luke will make a fabulous bachelor. Aaaaannnddd, Bachelor in Paradise will be CAAAHHH-RAAAZY.

  11. I have no idea who she's going to choose either on the Bachelorette, but I'm thinking Jordan. She's been smitten by him since the beginning, and I think she'd get hurt by Robbie in the end. I couldn't agree with you more on the Nordstrom sale, but I did pick up that KS necklace too. So many pieces on my wishlist that didn't make the sale, but hoping to see the prices drop at some other point. A girl can dream right? Happy Friday <3

  14. Happy Anniversary!

I think JoJo will go with Jordan, they always do. I'm not rooting for Robby either because of the ex gf thing but if you watched Men Tell All, they all seemed to have exes they left for.

And for books, check out "First Comes Love" by Emily Giffin. Loved it!!
