An Easy, Comfy 'At Home' Outfit

Forgive the terrible, dirty mirror selfie and the basic-ness of this outfit, but you're looking at my new go to for this fall & winter (winter, ew). Hanging out at home, I just want to be able to quickly throw something on without much thought, and be warm and comfy - check, check, check!

I just picked up this sweater at Target on a whim and I LOVE it. Probably going back to get a couple more colors. It's super warm and a perfect fit - just the right amount of 'looseness'. And it's on the cheaper side so I don't care too much if I get spit up on it... because I'm going to. Of course it's not online - my biggest gripe with Target - but I've seen it in a couple of stores now. Underneath, I'm wearing this striped top that really is worth all of the hype. And it's only $19! I love how long it is, making it perfect to go with leggings. Honestly, you could wear this top with anything - it's so great for layering. The sizes sell out crazy fast (it does run big), so grab it while you can. Speaking of leggings, I'm wearing my Hue pair in this picture. I'm a big fan of the Zella's, too! The only thing missing is a pair of comfy house shoes. I've got my eye on these for the holiday season since someone (Brady...) seems to make all of my slippers disappear.

You could totally wear this outfit out of the house as well by throwing on a big old blanket scarf - I just got this one in the black & blue plaid and love it - and a pair of boots. Be it Hunters or riding boots, either works! Or if it's warmer out, with a pair of distressed denim and nude flats. It may just be the perfect outfit!

  1. Love this outfit! I'm really hoping the majority of the snow comes while I'm on "maternity leave" *Knock on Wood*. That way I can save my paid time off and it would definitely be nice to have Jesse home on some snow days to help keep me from losing my mind with a newborn and 3 dogs.

  6. That sweater is classic. I'm actually knitting a hat that is the same yarn with a similar pattern. That cream color is perfect for winter

  14. I will keep an eye out for the sweater. Does it run pretty true to size or do I need to size down?

  18. You look adorable. I want to look this cute all the time. I don't think I ever pull this look off well though. That should be my winter goal. I'll have to check this sweater out at Target, too... as long as it isn't itchy. lol
