Monday.

How about we make this Monday a little more fun with a few confessions?

Let's start with these pictures. (Sorry for the Instagram repeats). I pretty much only put this CREW & LU ROMPER on Hadley yesterday to do a little photo shoot. It arrived in the mail during nap time and I seriously could not wait for her to wake up just to try it on. So freaking cute.

Sometimes, after I work out at the gym and I feel like prolonging my alone time a little bit, I'll grab lunch and sit in the cafe and read before I pick Hads up from the daycare there. I feel terrible even typing that out, but I think it's good for both of us! She loves the gym and I'm a much happier mom when I'm fed ;)

I pretty much only use baby wipes to clean my house these days.

I am freakishly obsessed with grocery shopping at Aldi. I have saved SO MUCH MONEY since discovering it a few weeks ago, not to mention they have so many awesome organic, non-gmo options. I'm constantly stalking blogs to check out their Aldi hauls and find out what others favorite products are, if you have any I must try, let me know!

Now that Hadley is on the move, girlfriend doesn't sit still. Ever. Sometimes I just wanna cuddle though ya know (aka stop moving for 5 minutes), so I realized that if I turn on the TV, she'll contently sit in my lap for a little bit to watch and it's the sweetest. Half of me seriously enjoys it, half of me feels guilty for it - which might basically sum up motherhood.

As many amazing fashion blogs as I follow, Un-Fancy is my new favorite. I love her minimalism style and her outfits are actually ones that I could recreate at this stage of life.

I ordered these SLIPPERS because stripes... I don't know why because as much as I'm going to love them, my dog is going to love them eight hundred times more.

HAPPY MONDAY!

  1. I think it's amazing that you refresh yourself after the gym with lunch and a little book reading - you dont do it all the time and your time with Hadley is that much better! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  2. Oh how I wish my child loved the gym! Don't feel one bit bad about taking time to yourself with the gym or TV!! We've got to do what we've got to do to survive out here. Camden will finally sit for like 10 minutes straight and watch part of a show. I CAN GET SO MUCH WORK DONE IN 10 MINUTES. Heaven. Love that cute romper! My wallet is in huge trouble if we ever have a girl!!

  4. Okay, I need to try Aldi! And yes, I will hold my 11-month-old in my lap and let him watch some of the "Mickey Mouse" his 3-year-old brother is watching just so I can get some cuddles and snuggles! No shame! :)

  9. We have practically a brand new Aldi in town, and I've never been in it. I guess I need to change that! And, I think it's great you take a little extra time for yourself after the gym!

  11. Can we talk about how precious those pictures are, that romper is the sweetest! And girl I feel exactly the same way when I take a little extra time for myself, definitely mom guilt but so good for both of us. If mom is refreshed and happy, baby will be happy. No one wins when mom is stressed and of course hangry. Cheers to a fabulous week <3

  12. Hadley's romper is so darn cute. And her face in that last picture with puppy kisses??? Stop!!! Too sweet! The mom guilt is so real when you do things for yourself, right??? I felt guilty on Saturday when I was getting my hair done...but Zoe was with my sister and husband and I doubt she even missed me because she was too busy having fun. I love Un-fancy! What are you buying at Aldi???I mentioned to Chris last week that I wanted to try shopping there again. It has been years since I have been in one.

  17. She is so so cute in that romper! Right there with you about the alone time... on some of my days off I will have Lexi in daycare for a half day and I can't 100% enjoy it because I feel guilty.

  21. Kirkwood Southern Style Chicken Breasts (taste like Chikfila), Cinnamon French Toast Sticks Ceasar Salad Kit
Cheddar Cheese Snack Sticks, Frozen Fine Green Beans (with garlic salt and olive oil)
    refridgerated salsa
    Frozen sweet corn
produce in general (but learn when your store restocks produce)
Their signature salad dressings with the whole chunk of garlic at the bottom--House or Greek or Three Chees (cheese one seems weird but good!!)
Steamable veggies (broccoli florets and corn)
    Fresh mozzarella balls
    Milk chocolate chips
    Chicken tenders (fresh)
Frozen pizzas-we haven’t tried any we didn’t like and my kids actually prefer the Aldi brand over others.
    String cheese
Bread and rolls (they are recently making a large round loaf-can’t remember exact name) and it's good

Any of their chocolate--so delicious--try their almonds with Carmel covered in chocolate
Bremer Gyro kit from the frozen section – excellent

    Honey goat cheese

  25. I've started doing aldi more as well but my husband is a pig and the food is gone before I know it so I'm not really sure if I'm saving money or not. But I'd love to hear what everyone loves from there.

  28. The pesto rosso from Aldi's is where it's at. $1.79ish for a jar of pesto that is SO good. Also... the oreos are trouble. I know that from personal experience. ;)

I'm obsessed with that romper. I need one in my life.

  29. I used to go to Aldi's a lot when my gym was nearby, but now I forget to go that way. It's not that far so I need to make myself get over there more often- I love the deals you can find! Also going to check out the fashion blog you linked... I need simple outfits I can actually recreate!! :)
